No longer caught between tough choices Benzoyl peroxide (BP) BP is a very effective tool in treating acne. But at effective doses, it frequently causes significant redness, irritation and flakiness of the skin. AcneRecovery uses a time-release benzoyl peroxide, providing an extended, less abrupt treatment. This makes obsolete the traditional twice-daily dosing of BP that is typical of most acne treatment kits. In the AcneRecovery System, the BP is used at night in the Treatment Lotion. Salicylic Acid The morning treatment uses the gentler salicylic acid medication to complement the night treatment.
