You’ve just received your very first shipment of AcneRecovery and you’re anxious to get started. You love the idea of being able to adjust your medication, but maybe it all seems slightly intimidating. What now – how should you get started?

Here’s how...step by step!

PRIME THE DISPENSER

As the first step, let’s prime both Lotion Packs (your Repair Lotion and Treatment Lotion) so that they’re immediately ready to use when you’re ready. That simply means that you will need to pump the dispenser for a little bit to suck the lotion up through the tube and up to the tip for the first time.

Your dispenser pump draws from the two halves of the Lotion Pack. It’s possible to prime both sides at the same time (as the instructions on the dispenser neck suggest), but you might find it easier to do it one side at a time.

Set the dial at “10” and press the pump repeatedly. It will draw up from Formula Pod A until you see the lotion appear at the nozzle. Be patient – your lotion is luxurious and a little thick, so it may take as many as 50 strokes.

Then, set the dial at “0” and repeat the process, priming from Formula Pod B.
(In the unlikely event that you seem unable to prime one, you can place the unit in a sink of hot water for a few minutes and try again. The warmth will make the lotion easier to pump.)

CHOOSE AN INITIAL SETTING

Identify which of the following descriptions best describes your skin, then use the recommended setting:

SKIN TYPE A: Generally Sensitive Skin   Let’s start with the gentlest settings of the lotions, just to minimize any skin reaction in the initial stage. Set the dial on the Treatment Lotion and on the Repair Lotion to “0”. Somewhat Sensitive To Benzoyl Peroxide Products   Somewhat Sensitive To Salicylic Acid Products   Don’t Know – Never Tried An Acne Treatment

SKIN TYPE B: Skin Is Not Particularly Sensitive   Begin with an initial setting of “3”. You’ll likely do fine, though there’s a possibility that your skin will have some initial redness or irritation. Have Tried ‘Regular’ Acne Products Without Difficulty

SKIN TYPE C: Have Used ‘Extra-Strength’ Acne Products Without Difficulty   Begin with an initial setting of “5”. This will deliver 4.5% benzoyl peroxide in the Treatment Lotion and 1.25% salicylic acid in the Repair Lotion. You’ll likely do fine, though there’s a possibility that your skin will have some initial redness or irritation.

MORNING ROUTINE

The morning routine using AcneRecovery is simple – just two steps.

Cleanse:
Begin by wetting your face with warm water. Then squeeze a ‘nickel-size’ amount of Face Wash onto your hand. Gently massage it over your face, taking about one minute to complete the process. (Be gentle - don’t SCRUB!) Rinse and pat dry. More...

Apply Lotion:
Confirm that your Repair Lotion dispenser’s dial is set to your chosen setting. Dispense lotion onto your fingertips and spread a thin layer over your face. Allow it to dry for a minute or two before applying any makeup.

NIGHT ROUTINE

Before bedtime, repeat the same routine as the morning, but use the Treatment Lotion at night rather than the Repair Lotion.

ADJUSTING SETTINGS

The great thing about AcneRecovery is that you’re now able to adjust your medication over time, based on how your face responds to the settings you’ve chosen.
