Unless you’ve chosen the “50/50” (mid-point) setting, you’re using one side more heavily than the other. A particularly high or low setting will draw more heavily from the matching FORMULA POD. Thus, you’re likely to run empty in one before the other.

How will you know?

When one press of the pump seems to bring less lotion than it usually does. You can confirm by turning the dial all the way to the most aggressive or most mild mark and trying to pump. (Otherwise, you may still be drawing from some lotion from the other, non-empty unit.) If, at the most aggressive (darkest) setting, nothing is pumped, you’ll need to replace the FORMULA POD A. If, at the most mild (white) setting, replace FORMULA POD B.

To replace the empty FORMULA POD, simply pull downward on that unit, separating it from the pump head. Remove the replacement FORMULA POD from its package and press it up into the pump head, replacing the one you’ve removed.

Prime the new pump by turning the adjustment to 100% ‘aggressive’ if you’ve replaced FORMULA POD A, or 100% ‘mild’ if FORMULA POD B. Pump until flow is established. Then reset to your previously chosen treatment setting.

NOTE: You can only replace a FORMULA POD with the same type as you removed. If you removed an “A”, you cannot replace it with a “B” – the pump top will not fit onto a mismatched FORMULA POD.

Unless you’ve chosen the “5” (mid-point) setting on your dispenser, you’re using one side more heavily than the other. A particularly high or low setting will draw more quickly from the matching FORMULA POD. Thus, you’re likely to run empty in one before the other.

How will you know? When one press of the pump seems to bring less lotion than it usually does. You can confirm by turning the dial all the way to a “10” (to test Formula Pod A) or to a “0” (to test Formula Pod B) – and trying to pump. (Otherwise, you may still be drawing from some lotion from the other unit, which is not empty.)

If, at a setting of “10”, nothing is pumped, you’ll need to replace the FORMULA POD A. If, at a setting of “0”, replace FORMULA POD B.

Clients Say...

“When my skin is really oily and I’ve broken out, I find it very helpful and beneficial to my skin to use the lotions on a higher level. Additionally, when my skin is pretty clear, I like that I am able to use the lotions on a lower setting in order to avoid drying out my skin.”

– Julie Hodgson, 20

“I have tried every product out there and I have read and researched every bit of information about acne. I did read about using both salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. When I found out these products had both acne medications, I decided to try it out.....which I'm very glad I did. I told my sister to try it out because my skin cleared up in a matter of days.....and she did, and is also having great results.”

– Michelle Strange, 31
