Harry
Potter: If only we could be so lucky...
Apparently
acne doesn’t have any respect for magic. If J.K.
Rowling realized it would be a problem, I’m sure she
would have created an anti-breakout spell to save the filmmakers
some headache of the last Harry
Potter film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The
producers of the film hired technicians who had to use special
camouflaging makeup to help cover the acne of three main stars
of the Harry Potter series; Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert
Grint (Ron Weasley), and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger).
All
three stars are between fifteen and seventeen, so it’s not
surprising that they are being plagued by acne. Maybe that will
come up as one of Voldemort’s sinister plots to ruin Harry
Potter in book six.
The producers were so concerned about the “outbreak”
that they meticulously went through each frame of the film before
it was released and looked at all three of the stars’ faces
to be sure their acne wasn’t visible. When acne was visible,
they would digitally zap them. The average full-length movie contains
hundreds of thousands of still frames. That’s no small task!
Wouldn’t
it be nice if everyone with teen acne
had a team around to help out every time they had a photo snapped?
